Zarna Mohan a senior teacher of Iyengar Yoga from Hyderabad, India, is a direct disciple of Yogacharya B K S Iyengar. She began her yoga journey at the age of 18 in the year 1974 under Father Joe Pereira in Mumbai. In the year 1977 she joined Yogacharya B.K.S. Iyengar who then used to travel all the way from Pune to Mumbai to teach yoga. Since then she became a devoted student of the genius B.K.S. Iyengar and has maintained a long lasting association with him and Iyengar Yoga. With the blessings and guidance of Guruji she has developed her own methodical and inspirational approach to practice and teaching of yoga. Her career as a yoga teacher began in the early 1980’s in Mumbai under 'Light on Yoga Research Trust. During this time she completed her Masters in Philosophy from the Mumbai (erstwhile Bombay ) University. After marriage Zarna moved to Hyderabad in 1986 and introduced Iyengar Yoga to the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad. She laid a strong foundation of Iyengar Yoga in Hyderabad teaching continuously for the last 32 years despite being a full time employee of Reserve Bank of India (RBI). Besides having her own classes Zarna taught Iyengar Yoga in several institutions and organisations like Ramakrishna Math, RBI, NABARD, ISB and NPA (National Police Academy) where she has done training sessions for fresh recruits and Senior IPS Officers. She also conducts workshops at Rishikesh and Bellary. Apart from these, she has Participated as a speaker at the First World Parliament on Spirituality held in Hyderabad (2013), Rotary Cultural Exchange Program in South Korea (1994); she has also conducted yoga sessions at various platforms like 'Sakshi Live Well Expo' in Hyderabad and International Yoga Day curtain raiser held in Delhi (2016). In 2016, she retired from RBI and now devotes all her time to Yoga. Besides conducting regular classes, she focuses on conducting therapy classes for people suffering from different ailments. She has been honoured by Sri. Bandaru Dattatreya, the then Union Minister for Labour for her contributions in the field of yoga in 2015. Also Felicitated by the Women's wing of Bharatiya Janata Party on Woman’s Day in 2016. Zarna Mohan is a talented and experienced exponent of yoga. She is down to earth in her outlook and consciously maintains a low profile. The yoga classes at our studio, located in the center of Bahçeşehir are conducted in Turkish, English and Russian. All classes are given by certified Iyengar Yoga teachers. In addition to the group yoga classes you can choose to take individual lessons at our studio. The program for private yoga lessons is developed in accordance to your needs and level – certified teachers will work with you individually allowing a deeper and more personal yoga experience. After a busy day at work or a tiring session at the gym you can join a session of relaxing massage at our studio. The deep tissue massage is done by a professional therapist at a hygienic environment. After a massage session you would feel totally renewed!
